Koenigsegg One:1, the worlds' first Megacar

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new Koenigsegg One:1, the world's first Megacar.

Koenigsegg One:1 at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show

While the competitors has announced their own hypercars, Christian Von Koenigsegg thinks it is time to hit back with a car which is unlike any supercars or hypercars in the world. Creating a hypercar which is capable of reaching 440 km/h, Astonishing 1:1 bhp to weigh ratio, a car which produces 1 Megawatt of power, etc...and the list goes on.

It is called the world's first megacar for a reason.

1340 bhp to 1340 kgs. It means the latest masterpiece of Koenigsegg Automobile, the Koenigsegg One:1's 5.0L twin turbo V8 produces 1 horse power with 1 kilogram of the car weigh, and 1340 bhp is the total horsepower that can be produced, which is equal to 1 Megawatt.  This is never been done by any Supercar Manufacturer.

Over the past 12 months, video clips and images of hypercars performance are spreading
around the internet. Hybrid hypercars like Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder, has shocked the world with their latest hybrid engine technologies, both cars lapped the Nürburgring well under 7 minutes.. Although the guys from Maranello claimed that the Laferrari isn't ready to reveal the actual lap time of the Laferrari at the Ring, but a few video clips on Youtube already revealed how fast the car can be(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2eraoIUCms). With speculations are going on around the internet, we believe that lapping the Ring with a sub-seven-minutes lap time is impossible with the Laferrari's performances figures. Under these circumstance, Christian Von Koenigsegg might have to try to reclaim its title of the best hypercars maker. A hypercars with these performance figures will surely get the job done.

Performance Figure of Koenigsegg One:1:

Power output: 1 MW at 7500 rpm -
rpm limiter @ 8250
rpmTorque: over 1000 Nm from 3000 to 8000
rpmMax torque: 1371 Nm at 6000 rpm
0 - 400 km/h approx. 20 sec
400 - 0 km/h approx. 10 sec
Braking distance: 28 m (100-0 km/h)
Max lateral g-force: 2.0 g

Emission levels: Euro VI
Well, I guess each and everyone of you were still round-eyed after viewing these figures. 0 - 400km/h in 20 seconds. Mclaren  P1 would reach 300km/h in 16.5 seconds, and it isn't slow at all. In fact, the record of 0 - 300 km/h record holder, Hennessy Venom GT did it in 13.63 seconds. Memories are still fresh while the Hennessy Venom GT ripped the Koenigsegg Agera R's record of 0 - 300km/h. But this number will soon being challenged by the One:1. A statement has been made by Christian Von Koenigsegg, he wants the record back.

...and still, Mr. Koenigsegg claimed that they weren't really focused the speed of the car, handling is what they really care about, with a whole new set of fully upgraded Koenigsegg Agera R's suspension.

Only 6 units will be produced.

The Koenigsegg One:1 has already been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show back in March. By that time, all 6 units had been sold out with a price tag of 1.5 million Euros.

The game is on!

The Announcement of Koenigsegg One:1 is really a great news for the supercars fans. We've seen how badly the Koenigsegg Agera R has beaten the Bugatti Veyron (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj3Oo-_jecg). We expect the actual driving video clips of the One:1 to be released within a few months time. Now it is time for Koenigsegg Automobile to show what they capable of under the constant challenges from other supercars manufacturers.
